My practice has always included forms of camera-less photography; these all acknowledge the presence of the object and imprint, created with both the effects of and the absence of light and one technique I predominantly use is the cyanotype printing process. Its adaptability, colour and ease of use make it an ideal recording medium. They are made and incorporated into collage works, for illustrating particular elements in the film work, and also made in series – purely as cyanotypes.
